Someone's having fun? ;)
I have a secret to share (well maybe not THAT secret). I love “funny sites”, sites with pictures, videos and text that make me laugh. Its a great way to waste time when you’re not up for something of substance, and at least you feel good when you laugh. How mindless and stupid the humour might be, it serves a purpose.
Also, the many references to modern popular culture, films, music, and especially computer related topics are great because, well, I understand them and they are a part of my life.
Though, I can’t help but feeling sorry for all those that don’t get these references because they are too old, too young or simply weren’t there in the right age, time and place.
I even run one of these sites myself, www.roflmao.me with a wast collection of funny, weird, bizarre and less….suitable pictures from all over the net.
Other good sources to get your “daily fix” of humour is the Finnish site www.irc-links.org with a huge collection of photos, videos, flash animations/games and whatnot. You can literally waste days there (I know, I have).
Another site well worth a visit is notalwaysright.com, a site that specialises in submitted conversations between customers and all kinds of clerks, support people, hospital employees and so forth. Having worked in a hardware store myself, I really recognize many of these situations from personal experience. You wouldn’t believe how people threat people..
Finaly, it’s boners.com, a site in the (in)famous rotten.com/dailyrotten.com network. Luckily it’s not as gross, but things that are similar to…eh…boners will occur.
