mindovermadness.org started as an idea of a concept by me and a mate years and years ago. I purchased the domain and kept it hosted, but I/we never got around to do anything with it.  Now this domain is used for hosting my private blog.

What Is Mind Over Madness?

Explaining what Mind Over Madness is kind of hard to do, but having an open, yet not necessarily naive mind is the core requirement. MoM’s is about questioning everything you believe or take for granted. It is about attempting to achieve a slightly more objective understanding of yourself, your social relations, the society and world you live in. This is not something new, but rather a new word for a combination of several existing philosophies and mindsets. It is my understanding that western humanistic tradition and the social sciences provide us with tools and means to comprehend a little more of the big picture.

In this wild, crazy, irresponsible and illogical world so full of what I’d like to call…madness, us, the inhabitants, can only try to strive for one thing: Mind Over Madness. Don’t be a victim to superstition, stereotypes, inhuman ideologies, violence, terror and lack of empathy. Our task, our ultimate goal in life, must be the enlightenment of ourselves, the continuous development of our own consciousness, to learn and better understand the madness we live in.

This is a personal goal and objective of mine, yes what I perceive as the fundamental reason to live and breathe, besides of the purely biological aspect of mating and the survival of the species of course ;)

The Contents of the site

Rants, links to interesting, funny, enlightening or otherwise useful sites may be found here. There’s not many limits to what might be published, stuff about computers, politics, history, photography and whatever interest and concerns me. Where Mind Over Madness is a motto, a philosophy and a even a way of living, this site just as much about the many small things that constitutes a human being.
