A Year Behind The Lens (2009)
This gallery is a selection of images from November 2008 to September 2009. They are shot with different cameras, most with my Nikon D90, but also the Panasonic LX3 and FZ28 (the FZ28 I only owned for a short period of time) and finaly a 1966 or 1967 vintage Minolta Hi-Matic 7s rangefinder and Fuji Superia 200 film.
The purpose of this gallery for me personally, is to look back at some of the shots and photographic experiences I had that did not really fit into a specific category or gallery. They may not be “fine art” or carry any special meaning for the outsider, but for me they are memories more than anything else. Some have a serious thought behind them, some are just snaps. Feel free to read my comments underneath the images when enlarged.

Hi !
Your D90 images are really very elegant ! however the LX3 images [despite some being low light ones] are pretty well dressed themselves !
I loved the colors !

Yes, the LX3 is a remarkable little camera, as long as you work within it’s limitations :) In daylight conditions or on a tripod it does very well. The ISO performance can’t match the larger sensor of a DSLR (I’d say 2-3 stop difference), but that’s hardly a surprise. It is however, a lot lighter to carry around than a DSLR!
If you shoot RAW you can also get a bit more out of its files (I have a number of LX3 shots I wish I had in RAW instead of jpg). I’m not overly impressed by Panasonics jpg engine, but it does okay.
